radio show

I'm going to be on one of our local radio shows on Thursday.  Yikes!  My new friend, who is the President of the new non-profit organization, and who helps families of adolescents by helping them with some of the financial burden with drug treatment was asked to talk about it and had asked me to join in.  She said I was the first person she thought of.  Yikes!  I am not sure if I will be able to talk about what I am doing, also.  I have no idea what to expect!

Be yourself and all will go well! If you have some facts or key points, write them on NOT more than 2 index cards and bring them along. Practice with your husband to just get used to impromptu questions on the spot. This will also help to prioritize the points you might want to make. If you have a chance, ask the interviewer about time constraints and issues that they want to focus on ... this will also help you to pace your answers and to be responsive to the questions. Last but not least, you and your family need to decide on the appropriate amount of personal disclosure ... I suspect that that is something that the interviewer will put you on the spot for..... and of course you don\'t have to respond to personally and those facts and figures will be needed. Good Luck and Take Care!!!

You will do a great job because this is such an important issue obviously. Penpal must be well informed too, and she\'s given lots of useful info! It\'ll be a challenge, and you\'ve had lots of experience in that department with T-man. Be yourself and think of the coverage this very important issue is getting. Atta girl!! :)
