Race for life

OMG, i cant believe that I've just registered myself for this years 'Race for life'. As I am since chemo the unfittest person I know.
They probably do things similar in other countries, basically its a race for ladies, of all ages, size, etc, and we all do a race either 5k or 10k, I'm doing the 5k. We all wear pink and its a great day to celebrate those who have survived cancer and remember those lost to this cruel disease, all proceeds to Cancer research Uk.
The races are throughout the country and the one in my town is in July, and hoping to have 4000 ladies on the day.
So I'm just gonna take Ruby (my Little Llasa Apso dog) for a power walk to start my fitness training, any words of support will be much appreciated.
You maybe thinking its only 5km, but chemo has left me very weak, and just climbing the stairs to bed is an effort, so 5km for me is a challenge.
As the race motto goes 'Together we will beat cancer'
