Rabbits Aren't Good Swimmers

Maybe someone will pick this guy up & throw him in the damn river:
A royal A-hole will have the chance to show off his crown in prison after throwing a beloved pet rabbit into a river. Homeless man John Byrne was panhandling on a bridge over the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland, when 20-year-old Gary Kearney snatched Byrne's pet rabbit Barney from his arms and hurled it into the river. Byrne jumped in to save his bunny buddy. "I got him under the bridge and gave him the kiss of life," Byrne said. Jerk Kearney got four months for animal cruelty while Byrne was given a Compassionate Citizen Award. [Source]

OMGoodness, please tell me that the little rabbit lived? I am thinking that he did, and I so hope that he and Byrne have a safe, warm place to sleep, and warm food to share. Shame on that horrible Kearney.
