Rabbit Urges

The good news in my triggering to the new set of closed doors in the house is that it has gotten me to spend less time with my media toys. The bad news is that even at 33 MPG, it is expensive to be driving 500 miles a day. That is still cheaper than being available to play Mommy ATM with over-aged dependants, but neither game is going to make research funds available for the co-opted Mississippi River Valley project. Getting me back up to full earning potential still strikes me as a Congressional solution. I use our National Debt as proof that it is foolishly easy to spend ever more of other people's money.
Unless I dump the chump. A clear and complete separation of goals and finances still holds great appeal to me. Let him have the whole ball of wax. All I want is my personal resume, my dignity and my freedom. Okay. I want my tramp kit, my dog, my car and my guitar, but those are as replaceable as the rest of our modest half acre. My escape funds have been greatly depleted, but I know how to live off the land.
Our 32nd anniversary is next week. It is nearly an annual ritual in my mind to wonder if I want a divorce as an anniversary present this year. Watching my many-named sisters cycle through their romances has kinda convinced me that divorce really can be a solution if you avoid the re-exes. Whether I choose divorce or not, one husband is more than enough for this wandering soul.
For today I will just try again to find the charm in the inside of a closed door which is not rolling down the open highway. I sit now behind the closed music room door.
