RA
Well,it hasĀ been a long time since my last entry. I mainly keep a Journal by my Bed. I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in Dec '08. It has been a rollercoaster ever since. Not knowing much about this disease, I researched it long and hard. I guess it's here to stay. I have been to my RD 3 weeks ago and she gave me Celebrex, Prednisone and Skelaxine. I am going back today for an MRI and maybe Methotraxate. I am a little scared to start on the hard drugs, but also understand that if I don't start on something I may not get better. I just wish the hurting would stop and not move around so much. I never know where I', hurting when I get up. It has been a good last 2 weeks with no pain, but then this morning I get up and can't move my arm up and my neck is real stiff, which I'm going to tell her about today. Most days are pretty good though and that's what I'm thankful for. I also appreciate everybody here on the RA thread. I could not do it without all the people's support. Thanks to all of you!

Hey blue...yes, it is quite a carnival ride, is it not?! I read your post about no insurance for the biologics. Not to side with your RD (who apparently had a bug up her *** on Friday!), but it sometimes IS very helpful to appeal to the insurance company to pay for the treatment. Sometimes they make it hard to do so (probably to discourage us from trying) but also sometimes they end up paying. Also, if you go to humira.com they have a link to getting help to pay for it. I haven\'t explored it, as my insurance is paying for mine, but it might help too.
Onward and upward!
Thanks tessie. I will have to check this out when my liver is better. Thanks
