R and R....

Today I totally relaxed other than running to WM to get some errands out of the way. I looked at paint colors while I was there.. and really like the sage/ grey type of colors. I want to try it on the kitchen and LR first and then move on to the BR and the office.

The office is dark red... and i guess bc there are so many shelves and white closet and cabinet doors in that room, it's hard to really notice it.. but i really have never liked it. A sage/ grey would go nicely in there w/ white ... it might have to be kilzed first bc it is so dark. Red is hard to cover up. .... at least there isn't a lot of it.

I haven't seen Bradley in like 20 to 25 years... i know we have both changed... in looks... LoL... omgosh. we were BFFs for so long and then he married and moved off to Big D. But his marriage to Scott has dissolved and we have become reconnected thru FB... even though my last name has changed. I have looked and looked for him on FB but his name is so common.

I better get over there before he starts back teaching school... It will be interesting to see him and to catch up. WE have a lot to talk about... he's one of those friends I tell EVERYTHING... I mean EVERYTHING to. Those friends are few and far between. We wrote letters for a long time.. but thankfully thru technology we are reconnected. We've both been scattered to the wind in the past twenty plus years. My gosh.... we had so much fun together when we were young.

I found some pics of us in an old album... we had made them for another friend that moved off named Mike C. and he's even come back into the picture.

An old boyfriend called me about 6 months ago... We hadn't talked in like 15 years and one day my cell phone just rings and it is D. Now we text occassionally. I met and married MH right after dating D. He didn't want to get serious. I did. I don't think he has ever married. But he was a very nice guy. We just ended it as friends. And then I met MH. He lives in the same city as my daughter, actually. Odd how ppl from the past are popping up.

Today was all about resting and relaxing. I just watched youtube or Amazon... and didn't intend to exercise or do anything much at all. I was tired actually. I did cook a big crock pot full of chicken drummies with BBQ sauce and lots of spices. They are always very good. And we munched on salad... I don't do much cooking on the weekends... but it was yummy and easy.

I read thru "Sink Reflections" while driving over to the lake yesterday. I was really surprised at how good of a book it was. I thought it would be hoaky and corny. It was actually a very very good book on how to organize "LIFE"... lol... or at least attempt it... and not try to live a perfectionist life... but a life that is organized and thoughtfully lived to a degree...

I have 3 friends that are very unorganized and really suffer from it... they suffer from exhaustion and the devastation of clutter all around them... and one friend has asked me to help her to get organized... but I told her I wouldn't do it without payment. NO WAY. I don't know if I will anyways. Her whole family is dysfunctional. I mean I love her... but I told her.... "you know this kind of work / organization involved all 4 of you that live in the home... not just YOU. ... YOU alone can't organize and declutter a home where others work, live and play"..... so.... we will see. Her life is chaotic. It has always been that way... since I've known her... I don't judge her at all... it's just who she is.

It was nice to not do much today... or worry about the house. It was my day OFF. I enjoyed it very much.

Back to being busy tomorrow. yay.

That's nice that you took day to rest and relax, we all need those. I think the lighter color will look nice, better than red!
It;s great that you are reconnecting with an old friend, technology is great for that, enjoy your visit..
Don't work too hard today, :-)
