"Remember, you become what you think about all day long.
How often do you clutter your mind with thoughts of non-peace? How many times a day do you say out loud how terrible the world is? How violent we have all become? How uncaring we seem to be? How racist we are? How little government cares about us?
All of these thoughts and their expressions are indications that you have become trapped in a non-peaceful mind and therefore, a non-peaceful world." Wayne Dyer
"There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace.
You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, your garden, or even your bathtub." Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
"All situations can be interpreted through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. When we call upon it to give us a different perspective, whether on the most traumatic or exceedingly mundane experience, we will feel relief, even peace, in an instant.
The understanding we cultivate, in the process, is that, finally,
nothing really matters, not when viewed through a holy perspective. The concept baffles us.
We would not be troubled by the idea if we could understand that changing our minds is a decision, a process, a journey, an activity that requires willingness and lots of practice. When we come to grips with this, we're on our way." Karen Casey
dinner at k's last night. he was well and then got sick for two days again. i think he has an ulcer and he still hasn't checked it out. he's a doctor and he hates doctors. lol. i think he keeps trying to go back to drinking even though he was told two years ago not to drink anymore. its the alcohol that is making problems for him. its flipping him out though. maybe he should take up pot. lol.
i drank his chevis regal, real small about a shot on ice. to be honest i LOVE chevis. it used to be my drink of choice and it tasted fabulous for a change, didn't even realize i missed it. i suggested he enjoy his pricey scotch through others enjoying it. lol. we watched "ZERO DARK THIRTY" which i recommend with Jessica Chastain about how they caught bin laden. it won a golden globe. now i have to look up the news articles about it and see if i can find anything. i don't think i read much about bin laden except that obama reminded that fbi new york and justice rewards program offered a $25 million bounty to all bounty hunters, former military, military, cia etc., and in the movie this was a cia operative, who can locate bin laden and the seals went in and killed him after he was located. wow! i remember the $25 million bounty reminder being offered on tv and on the radio because they had NO CLUES at all about where bin laden was from 2005 - 2009, even though in film, bin laden appeared healthier than ever, ergo, living urban and not in a cave. by 2009 bunglers in usa were finally dead. the reminder goes out and wala, BOOM bin laden found. had they got rid of the bunglers sooner it would have happened sooner amazing how motivating huge sums of money are and the removal and bad people really paves the way. lol. the rewards program offers bounties as large as 50 million even today for the one that took bin laden's place. what a bounty!
the movie states our government had been spending BILLIONS trying to track bin laden other ways and getting nowhere. the trail was completely cold. so $25 million is really just a drop in the bucket compared to BILLIONS. i also think Pakistan Police etc. knew bin laden was there in hiding, right in a suburban area with his youngest wife and children and other couples etc. right there for FOUR years! no cave. just an ordinary house. they state al queda is still terrorizing globally and has a new leader.
k made salmon and i poured wine on it like i always do. fish is fabulous in wine sauce and if its not wine sauce i alway pour white wine on it. it drives hosts crazy if they catch me. but fish made with wine is the only way i like it, except for lobster that i love pure. he made mixed vegetables and mashes red potatoes, always very healthy and balanced. i also mixed some sourcream in with the wine from the potatoes. yum. good dinner. coffee after. he had chocolate milk because of his stomach he also switched to tea, which is hilarious because when i gave him the plug in ceramic tea kettle YEARS AGO, he said he would never use it. very pretty but i'll never use it. lol. do YOU drink tea? actually, not really. I don't know what i'm going to DO with it. grrrrr. now he has it set up right in the den, on its own portable table, as a tea BAR. lol. goes to show you what the future can hold. i run into that all the time, mostly in the passed ten years. all the twists and turns and surprises. we had chocolate biscotti afterward. the hope store had it on sale, buy one get one. they are only 100 calories each and extremely filling, so i highly recommend. you dunk them in anything hot or milk or red wine. i use coffee. yum!
so far no side effects from the cholest-off vitamin, i take two in the morning. need to go to ds support and see if it works for anyone there. its 900 mg of plant sterols/stanols. we will see. i'm also on focus factor vitamins today.
i made TWO APPOINTMENTS at jacuzzi and a movie and both were cancelled. the new-ish girl for the passed year is a jerk. they fired her assistant, as she kept blaming the assistant for the mistakes and now the assistant is gone and its 100 percent worse. i think the assistant was following her orders and she is making a disaster of it. if her mess continues that place is out until they get a new booker. its a shame because it used to be a favorite thing of mine. maybe timeshare will put something like that in the sauna areas, i have wanted jacuzzi's in there for about five years now, especially in the winter, our jacuzzi's are by the ocean outdoors, doesn't help you in the winter. the assistant accused the new booker of many things, easily checked through the police and all i think to myself is here we go, another lunatic. can't they hire someone NORMAL? everyone made fun of bridget's militant ways, but this one acts like she is ready to go postal. seriously. very 2-faced and lying. i don't think she has a clue how to book people and she is always saying things about people behind their backs, even about her boss!
the animals have been taking turns getting eye infections OR they have allergies, don't know which. also noticed that frenny has this balding thing on the back of legs and maybe a rash? and so does ubu outside? wth? starship is still getting chased by other animals. i want k's friend to take her. she needs to live alone, all three of those left over kittens are unusual, even though starship was super friendly when young. wth?
saw w briefly last night. troy finally moved from the house behind him. yay! was 84 outside today. i think summer is here FINALLY!

Yes, I believe summer has arrived here to. We are into the mid 80\'s and beyond.
What I notice immediately is the humidity. But when you live down here what should you expect.
Fish and wine, I have never done it. I shall this next time. I usually bake, or broil and grill fish. Always a white wine am I correct on that?
How hot do they keep the water in your jacuzzi?
Weekend is almost here. Enjoy
at the jacuzzi and a movie place, it says 90, but 93 would be better. at the jacuzzi at timeshare its 104, so that would have to be lowered because at the high heat its not healthy to be in there watching a movie for two hours. lol. really annoyed that the jacuzzi and a movie isn\'t a go right now. maybe a jacuzzi in my own yard is a better idea as well? who knows. they sell capsules to keep them clean without emptying just like for baby pools.
i put the fish on a plate. then i pour a cup of white wine on the fish. then i put it in the microwave for about two minutes for two pieces and wala, its done. i think k broiled, i can ask him. he does what you do and seasons it, you don\'t need seasoning with wine. but i also use finishing butter from publix (they sell it by the fish department) and the butter is seasoned. its fabulous.
one of the girls who used to go there all the time and was a friend of the indian assistant says she told them off and gave them a piece of her mind. she says she was so loud that they claimed people could hear her yelling through the telephone. lol. she was a cosmetologist and a lot of fun. they are youngish around 25. its very sad. it was such a fun place. wth? if its not broke, don\'t fix it. why don\'t people get that? especially new employees. her boss claims she pulled the same crap where she worked before this and they put her behind the scenes because of it. then WHY hire her. he also claims he fired her several times during the first year she was here and she sited medical reasons which can be fought in unemployment hearings. i think she is bipolar. if he keeps her he could end up losing his business. its only been open a few years. a place is only as good as the people inside it.
Your wine-y fish sounds yummy! I\'ll have to try it sometime!
Having your own hot tub can be a lot of work. And the electric bill isn\'t great, either. Make sure you get some kind of warranty on it, because you\'d be amazed the things that can break on a hot tub! I had one since we moved in here, and now it is sitting dead in my deck. After about 8 years they become obsolete, so you can\'t get parts for them. And make sure you get a well-known brand. Ours was bought by the previous owners of this house, and I actually had a repairman say, \"Oh yeah....I think I remember them. They only sold for a couple of years because they were complete crap.\" *sigh* Keeping them clean can be hard, especially if it\'s outside. Make sure you get an enclosure around and over it, or you\'ll get snow, leaves, and all kinds of dirt. I\'ve always wanted a whirlpool bathtub with the powered jets. You fill it, you can add epsom salts or bath salts or bubbles, you have your fun, you have jets on your back for massage, you drain it, and you\'re done! Perfect!
Catching up *HUGS*
After the 2009 phone call that the Pakistanis tapped, however, al Kuwaiti\'s number went dark. But the courier had exposed himself, and the CIA suspected that if they could find where al Kuwaiti lived, they might be about to find bin Laden.
look how much happens after ted kennedy dies. wow!
The call had located al Kuwaiti in northwest Pakistan and gave the CIA a starting point for a renewed hunt. A year later, in the summer of 2010, despite fastidious operational security by al Kuwaiti -- he normally drove 90 minutes from the compound before inserting the battery in his cellphone, preventing signals intelligence pinpointing his starting point he made a twofold mistake.
For the first time in almost a year, he used the cellphone simcard that U.S. intelligence had linked to him, and he made a call with that simcard close to bin Laden\'s compound.
hmmmm who\'s fingerprint was on the simcard? why was there a THUMB print on a tiny little sim card? who\'s hand is so small as to have a small-ish thumb print? hmmmmm.
The National Security Agency, the world\'s most powerful signals intelligence organization, had been waiting to pounce on any calls made from that simcard since 2009. There wouldn\'t be much of a meeting or conference if a call came in from the simcard.
The NSA picked up the call and located al Kuwaiti in Abbottabad, Pakistan. They were even able to pinpoint the neighborhood the call had probably come from. Quite a HUGE mistake for such a careful and brilliant man IF he was the one that actually made the call.
From there, the CIA and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) began searching aerial satellite photographs to deduce which house would likely be bin Laden\'s.
When they discovered a newer building with high perimeter walls, custom construction and a third floor terrace wall of seven feet--the CIA knew they had their target. The search was almost over.
Team Six Meets Barack Obama
By August of 2010, CIA director Leon Panetta briefed President Obama and had a new stealth drone begin flights over the compound, undetected by Pakistani air defenses. The CIA was sure a high-value target lived in the compound, and given al Kuwaiti\'s relationship to bin Laden--learned in bits and pieces from interrogations of captured detainees since 2002 -- was \"60 to 80 percent\" sure bin Laden was hiding in the compound, according to Panetta.
The CIA, the NGA and the Pentagon studied reams of signals intelligence, electronic emissions, infrared technology, almost all from drones and satellites, in order to learn the compound\'s construction and the number of people living inside. Intelligence analysts even studied the water tables underneath the Abbottabad valley to determine whether it was likely bin Laden had built an escape tunnel underneath the house.
\"We were pretty sure it was too wet to build a tunnel,\" one US official familiar with the CIA\'s intelligence said.
Martin, the retired CIA official, said bin Laden also undoubtedly learned from his al Qaeda operatives\' mistakes.
\"He was not stupid. If you see your men killed by drones or captured, you learn from experience what kind of entourage to have and how to change your profile.\"
Bin Laden had taken away all signs of his importance that for years the CIA had searched for from the sky: armed guards, rings of protection, transportation convoys -- he left it all behind and hid behind an 12-foot wall for five years. When the Navy SEALs eventually stormed the compound, only a few rifles and handguns were seized. He had dropped virtually all his protection so that spy satellites, and drone surveillance would be unable to differentiate his compound from any other in the area. The SEALs also found, and killed, the courier whose single errant phone call, snapped up in a web of electronic surveillance, had led them to Abbottabad.
