Quote
I copied this from my facebook group to remind me of some things I need to remember:
I have a quote that I’d like to share.
“…love your solitude and try to sing out with the pain it causes you. For those who are near you are far away... and this shows that the space around you is beginning to grow vast.... be happy about your growth, in which of course you can't take anyone with you, and be gentle with those who stay behind; be confident and calm in front of them and don't torment them with your doubts and don't frighten them with your faith or joy, which they wouldn't be able to comprehend. Seek out some simple and true feeling of what you have in common with them, which doesn't necessarily have to alter when you yourself change again and again; when you see them, love life in a form that is not your own and be indulgent toward those who are growing old, who are afraid of the aloneness that you trust.... and don't expect any understanding; but believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.”-

So true, thank you for sharing it. hugs
Awesome-it is a true and measured insight shared world-wide. Thanks! It resonates with me in so many ways.
Beautiful words of wisdom.... Thanks Bob!!... xo
beautiful Bob xxx
Thanks girls!
It reminds me of the time right after my divorce when I was alone for the first time in my life and I was fearful but out of that fear, I grew alot emotionally so it became one of life's many lessons and I am grateful for having had the experience.
Thank you Bob.
Yes, it is in my solitude that I have come to know myself on a deeper level. I love interacting with people and then am grateful to step back. For me, it has been a daily practice of enjoying aloneness. Every walk I take or hour in my garden spent builds on that peace of being alone. Great share:)
Yes, yes, and yes! I love you people!
yep, the love here is washing over all of us, today I just feel so content and happy - I have woken up early, it is still dark outside, I can hear the birds starting to wake and I feel extremely thankful x
(and I can actually respond to posts now woo hoo - thanks DS, I knew if I was patient, I would come here & be able to post again - now I can really appreciate our interactions & it has made me realise how important they are to my day) x
Thanks for sharing. Love this.
Wow, Bob, I stepped out in faith 11 years ago to live alone for the first time in my life, and it was a real adjustment, there was that pain this quote mentions here. But there was growth, too, and it led to my being able to step out in faith once again last year and be bold enough to trust myself to retire alone here to Mexico. This quote really speak to what I've been through. Thanks for sharing it!
