QUITTING SMOKING
Hello, again, my dear friends,Today, with the help of God, I plan to quit smoking. I just finished my last cigarette at 10:40 AM. I've gone a whole 11 minutes so far. lol :) My goal, or plan, if you will, is to use the nicotine losenges. I'm going to try to go at least 2 hours between losenges, preferably longer, but I'll have to see if they work for me. I could probably do it cold turkey, if necessary. That's pretty much what I did 4 years ago. I went on the patch for 2 days, & then stopped it, with tolerable withdrawal. My biggest problem I have to overcome is the habit of smoking at certain times. I know I can do it, as I don't think I'm as physically addicted as I've convinced myself I am. If I can keep busy, & when the cravings come, do something to take them off of my mind, I believe I can succeed.I know I've asked for prayer in the past to quit. Thank you all that prayed for me. I hope you wouldn't mind praying for me again. If we pray about it, & more than just me prays, God is in our midst. The extra prayers make them more powerful.Thank you all so much for your support, not just in this area, but in all of my concerns & joys. You are such a special group of people who have helped me get through a whole year without experiencing depression. That's a first for me, in approx 20 years.I'm here for any & all of you who could use my support. Please feel free, anytime, to ask for my help.Thank you, ahead of time, for your faithful prayers.Love, Debi
