quincenera
I went to my nieghbors quicenera(is that spelled right? i can never remember-for those of you out there who dont know what one is-its a coming of age(15th) party for some catholics) yesterday, and it was a blast. the service was in the morning, and it was beautiful- i barely understood a word, since the whole service was in spansh(i recognized a few words and phrases, like 'sangre del cristo' and 'gloria del padre' and such) the priests' voice was so melodious-it was like he was singing. my knees hurt when we had to kneel on that pull out... thing.. to kneel on. then we went home for a few hours until the reception at the local Elks Lodge. The food was super yummy-typical mexican food that my neighbors are always cooking up-rice, beans, chicken, tortillas, etc. The music was soooooo loud, i could barely hear myself think. My neighbor, Sheiline, was so pretty- in this long, ruffly pink dress, and she had to do all these dances and stuff. all in all, it was very nice.
very tired after so much partying, so im gonna go take another nap!
