Quickie Update (good news finally!)
Hey all my wonderful people!
Just wanted to let you know how yesterday at Beth Isreal (in Boston) went. They actually got an IV!!! Only 4 sticks too - very impressive. And also were able to keep the IV going for 4 hours to do the MRI (I broke one of the machines - haha - and got to get a tour of another machine). So that's one huge worry checked off. Just have to wait for the results from Dr. Brown.
I also saw the ENT guy, Dr. Mallur (and a speech therapist, Laura Bauman) for my constant laryngitis. They both agreed there was nothing bad in my throat (like cysts, tumors, big scars, etc.). And get this! They said most of the voice problem was/is caused by basically stress!! How odd is that? Never knew you could lose your voice from stress. So I have to see a speech therapist and learn how to talk again. Which sounds easy but is actually really, really hard! But Laura was completely awesome. I have some funny toad brrrrr's and moo's to do and then I'll see her in a few weeks for a double appt.
So, finally GOOD news, aye? What a relief. I'm completely wiped today (yesterday was 12 hours! Poor Wyn) but happy things were actually DONE and progress is being made. As always, thank you all for you love and support! Couldn't get thro this without you all. And remember - I'm here for you too! Can't talk too loud but I can listen really good - and type as well. Love yas, Nibs
PS: I can finally say I feel good mentally at least! I'll take it.
