Quick update until later...
CRAZY schedules this week... I haven't even been able to check my emails. Turned it on this morning and there are 300 unread ones. Yeah, that's gonna take a while....
SO... here's the update. Going out to train shortly. Just got one of those emails stating that I have 6 hours to get to the half way point during the race. After last weekend's getting lost fiasco, I'm not sure I'll be able to do it. And so, I'm about to go up and give it some practice to get rid of the psychological barriers I have toward the tough parts. Because if I don't face them, I slow down out of the frustration and I WON'T make it.... But if I do it, I can push myself better, figure out where I can kick the bike into higher gear to make up for lost time and FLY....
And then, one of my customers was telling me yesterday that she saw a 3 mountain lions in the same area I'm going to practice today. It's one thing just to see them... it's completely another to see them the way she did. UP IN THE TREES! This part of the ride is tough and I tend to look down at the trail to maneuver. Now, I'm going to have to do both - basically look everywhere. And nobody wants to go ride with me this weekend because of the heat. And if I don't go alone, I don't go... and doing that race without practice isn't gonna happen....
Dogs are going nutty wanting the dog park before I head out.... I'll post after I get back from training this afternoon. LATER!
