Quick update

We won the bowling tournament.  1st time I ever came in 1st.  It was fun.  Went to a dog show with my mom and some friends on Saturday and had a wonderful time.  Got there a little late as my mom had to work until 11:30am, so I missed the Gordon Setter.  (There was only 1 entry.)  But, I got to see the English Setters and the Irish Setters.  They were SO beautiful!  We didn't stay for best in show.  Dummy me, blonde hair blue eyes, forgot that the dog show was outside and got a little sunburn on my arms.  I forgot to put on sunscreen.  I cleaned all day yesterday.  Got in over 13,000 steps just cleaning.  No Zumba yesterday.
Found out at the dog show that 5 people at my office were FIRED.  Not laid off.  The layoffs of the one whole department was last week I think.  So the morale up there is REALLY bad.  The 5 people were supposedly fired for bad performance.  But it still scares the daylights out of me.
My birthday is Sunday.  Mom is coming for dinner.  Nothing like having mom over to get my house in order!  So focus this week is:  Work my A$$ off, put in some OT, get my house cleaned up, brush the dog and clip her nails.  I will have limited time this week to come here but will try to catch up when I can.
Steps, exercise, food is bad.  I am going to try to do better this week.  Now that my only commitment is Monday health circle every few weeks and then bowling on Wednesday night, it should free up some more time.
I finished the final book in my Nora Roberts' "Pagan Stone" trilogy.   I am now reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."  I am about 1/3 of the way through.  First couple of chapters were very difficult to get through (background stuff, and the whole book takes place in Sweden with Swedish names and places).  But now the murder mystery has begun and now various plots are coming into play and it is getting REALLY good!
Oh, and the Flyers won game 7 last week and then won game 1 last night in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (6-0!!!)  Wow!  Exciting!

Super cool on winning the bowling tourny!
LOL about cleaning house when someone is coming over! Happens here all the time! I remember when we were first married we would stuff things behind the couch! LOL

It was ok. So So for Nora Roberts, who I generally love. But there were parts that seemed to just drag on, like maybe 3 books was too many. My favorite trilogy of hers was the one with Morrigan\'s Cross. I forget the name of the actual trilogy. (something about a circle.) Wow! That was the best ever! Sounds corny- vampiers, shape shifters, wizards. But LOTS of action, romance, etc. Those three books had it all and I literally made myself sick since I had to keep reading and couldn\'t put them down. I read Stephen King\'s \"Under the Dome.\" Long book but I feel one of his best. I am now reading \"The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo\" and I am really enjoying this one and finding it difficult to put down. Reading is a true joy in my life, especially since I have my Kindle that I take everywhere with me. I have over 200 books on it already.

right now, everything is stuffed in the spare bedroom. But at least I can shut the door when Mom comes over! LOL!

First...sorry I didn\'t get in touch with you this past weekend...computer and phones were down.

I know that those firings must have left you with a lump in your throat and a pit in your stomach Girl...just hang in there. All will workout well. You just put your best foot forward and show them how invaluable you are.
Happy Birthday to you...Good luck with the Mom visit. I do the same thing. My Mom is the type that if she doesn\'t like the way your home looks when she visits she will start cleaning it FOR you...hope the visit is a stress free one for you.
Just focus on job stuff and getting the house ready for your Mom\'s visit on Sunday and just try to keep staying on track foodwise on your mind...exercise is something that can wait until the house cleaning is Mission Accomplished!
Love ya!

Just hand in there and know that you are a great worker! Have a wonderful birthday! It\'s nice when family comes in and celebrates with you! I had a tough time with \"The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo\", I actually stopped reading it! Haha! Do you read Jodi Piculot? She has two great ones that I\'ve read \"Nineteen Mintues\" and \"House Rules\"
