Question

So in my previous post I refer to my little bean as a he/him. I know that we don't know what the sex is yet but I really don't like referring to my bean as an 'it'. Not sure why it just doesn't sound right to me. So what have you referred to your baby as it, him, her, it?!? Both my husband and father have questioned my labeling of him. Okay, just realized that it is only the men that seem to have an issue with it, huh! My DH said to me today "honey you really shouldn't refer to it as a him because you might be disappointed if it is a girl." I replied, 'no I would be, I would be thrilled!!' I know it is only 8 weeks until we find out but what should the name/label be?!? Thanks Ladies. I know a really deep, probing question. :)

I am not finding out and we just say the baby. Not it. Him, or her. My daughter even calls the baby by that. It bothers my mother to call the baby it. And every once in a great while I will say it, but not very often. My daughter says there are two in there a brother and a sister, lol. She will be in for a surprise. She is turning 4 on Monday. I hated having them that far apart but that is just how it goes with this IF journey. We are lucky enough to have one through IVF and now we are pregnant with number 2 IVF. Good luck on what you call the baby, just call it miracle.. Lots of love and hugs for a great remainder of your 9 mths.

Some people come up with a name - we always called them baby. :)
