Quick
Had my first Physical Therapy appointment yesterday. I was told I'd go in the pool after Joe (that's his name) examined me and we chatted. Well, didn't happen. He poked, prodded, wiggled and rocked my body, asking me on a scale of one to ten how much it hurt in each different position. I went out of there feeling discouraged and in a lot of pain. I know these things take time but I felt like he wasn't listening to me when I told him what I have and just made his own assumptions.
I was going to go to the lake afterwards but felt so crummy, shaking from the discomfort, that I just came straight home and lay down for a while before I felt well enough to get up and make dinner. Tomorrow is another appointment, this time I will be getting into the pool. I'm hoping that he'll be a little more involved than what I'm expecting him to be, but we'll see. I have to go two times a week for a month to a month and a half at first, then go from there. My PMS Doctor basically told me I'm going to have to do water aerobics for the rest of my life, as the combination of problems is going to make other types of exercise way too painful. I'm hoping, though, that I'll be able to walk more. I love going for walks.
I need to go clean my cupboards. Ashley and I cleaned my car early this afternoon and then I clean and organized the freezer so all I have left are the cupboards. I'm hoping to go shopping tonight. We're really low on food. I don't want to spend the money seeing as Chris is out of work and still recovering from his surgery.
One last note - I haven't seen any improvements from the medicines that I'm on now but I'm hoping that with more time I will. My Lyrica prescription still hasn't been filled as the authorization is still trying to go through, same with my MRI. I hope they'll authorize it soon because I'm running out of the sample my PMS doctor gave me and I'm supposed to be on 150mg at night now but still am on 75mg because I don't have enough to last me. Grr.
Oh yea, my Birthday is next month. I'm still trying to decide what I want for dinner. Either Cioppino or some sort of beef, perhaps a nice roast. For dessert it's a toss up between Dirt Cake (omg yum) or Lemon Meringue pie. Decisions, decisions. They all sound so good!
