punishing myself.....

i need to practice for the test that i'm taking in february.....to be honest i haven't been practicing as much as i should be, but i'm planning to change that....my goal is to practice at least 2 hours every day....and that's how much i SHOULD be doing....anyway i keep on punishing myself with negative and abusive thoughts....and i try to fight them, but they keep creeping back.....and then today i said to myself,"tomorrow i'm not going to eat anything until i ate least practice for an hour..." it's not what i want to do, but i feel like i have to punish myself.....i've come so far, but i can't fail this time.....i just got my degree and if i fail at this, i shouldn't even be here.....at least, that's how i feel

If anything food fuels the brain and body so by not eating you are not helping for the test. Food is a necessary and not good to punish yourself. Instead, eat a small snack and than say I will study after my snack and get a reward for studying. Find something that woul be positive. Reward yourself to a night out with friends or a new pair of jeans or a shirt. Reward works better than punishment
