Proud Mom

Got a call from the school VP.  Long story short, we had gone back and forth whether or not to let David go on the class field trip, which was yesterday.  He brought his failing math grade up to an 80%, so we let him go at the last minute.  They went to a park on the Brandywine River, which has been swollen from lots of rain.  Some young kids were tubing and a girl got stuck and was screaming and David dove in and pulled her to the side when everyone else just stood there.  The teaches and VP said they would have shuddered to think what could have happened if David was not there.  He remained calm under pressure and he was very humble about saving the girl.  So he got his grade up and saved a little girl.  I am very proud of him!
I took Kona for a 48 minute walk yesterday and 20 minutes today.  Also did 39 minutes Wii Walk It Out today and went to our bowling league tonight (me, Paul and David.)  I did great with food and water all day but ate pizza at the bowling alley.
Closed 4 claims today but got 2 new ones, ugh!  2 fires, one on either side of a meth lab!  Saw on the news a large warehouse fire in Bridesburg section of Philly and hoping I don't get any more fires this week.  I was so excited to get a little break and start getting caught up.  I guess it was too much to ask.
I have been drinking soy milk the last week or so.  Too soon to tell if it is helping the menopause symptoms or not.  Today is day 2 of 1/2 of my Lexapro tablet.  Hopefully I will not be so tired after a few more days.
Weird recurring dream:
1)  I show up to class in college only to realize I have missed most of the semester and this is THE class I need to pass and graduate.
2)  I show up to take a test and realize that I have missed most of the work and most of the classes.
3)  I show up for work (in my dream it is in the grocery store I used to work in before I got married and went back to night school for my degree) and realize I have "missed" two weeks of work.
In all three cases, there is the overwhelming sense of shame and guilt and failure and embarrassment.  I have had these dreams off and on for over 20 years, but these last few weeks have had them a bunch of times.  Hmmmm!?
