Prom Night; car accident reenactment

   Today we had an assembly where there was a reenactment of a car crash. My best friend and a few of my other good friends were in it. I saw my best friend covered in blood, inches from death. She was paralyzed from the neck down. One of my friends had a bone sticking out of her leg. She was screaming at the top of her lungs because of the pain. One of my friends, a drunk driver who caused the accident, was hauled away by the police and his entire future was gone in the blink of an eye. I saw another friend die slowly on the scene.
   I bawled my eyes out the entire time. I know it was pretend, I know that, but it still affected me. Watching my best friend die before me... It was so hard. Even thinking of loosing her... That's all I can really talk about now.
