Progress starts today
I woke up this morning feeling a little down. I guess thats the way it always starts here in Iraq. I realized something last night though. The funny thing is that its been in front of me the whole time. Life has dealt me a funny hand, from when I was a child to my current state now. Im learning a valuable life lesson everyday that goes by, yes some days are tough. Thats only becasue I make them tough. It is hard to completely let go from the love for my wife. She chose the path she is walking down now. That is a path that I will not follow. She continues to live in a life of stress, anger and selfishness. I am not that person. I am a good person, I see with truth, I speak with truth and I do my best to live with truth. I have not always been that way. Yes I have lied and made my mistakes. I have forgiven myself and my enemies and believe God has forgiven me as well. Today is the dawn of the new me. I know it wont be easy and this will take time, but I refuse to let my light fade away. I will start over and this time, I will love, do and cherish everything with my whole heart. Progression is the key for me and God have given me the strength and his hand to guide me through these dark times. I had a wonderful conversation last night that brought alot of clarity and helped me put things in perspective. It was like talking to myself. My old self. I saw my reflection through her words. I thank you for your kind spirit and tender soul(you know who you are, lol). It means more to me than you will ever know. Never would I have thought that since coming to this site that I would be able to see me again. I truly felt lost. With all the friends I have met since I have been here, I was given nothing but love and caring. For that I am eternally gratefull and blessed to have met everyone who has been there for me. My new days begin with all of your words, wisdom and kindness. I guess I could go on for hours thanking and explaining how better I am from all of you. But I think you all know regardless. I pray that all of you here find the answers you all deserve and that peace and love will make it into your hearts once again. Today I choose to live and I am happy that next time love comes to me again, I will get it right and love with my whole heart. My candle burns bright for all of you and I would gladly give my light to you all so you too can burn bright as the sun. Thank you all and most importantly, Thank God for his guiding hand of light.
