progress is being made

So Justin is sleeping on our couch and he is doing well. He acts like a 12 year old bot most of the time but he is staying clean and sober and his attitude is really good. He says he is not wanting to use at all and every time I hear that I feel more hopeful. He goes to his three hour therapy class 3 nights a week and says it really helps him and he actually looks forward to it!
He has little energy and does not do much of anything physically but I hope in time this will change. I keep telling him this is his time to heal and recover and to be patient. That we want nothing but his recovery from him for him. He said he feels bad sometimes because we all have somewhere to go every day school and jobs and he has nothing but thats when I remind him that he is in recovery and right now its ok to not be in school or working.... Hes so much like a young child I just want to keep him home and safe until he feels strong enough to handle the outside world. I talked to his counselor and she said my only job was to be supportive of his recovery and so this is what I am doing. Its so nice to have my boy home and sober I just hope and pray he continues with his sobriety....

I love reading everyones Happy posts! It sounds like Justin is really doing well and i am really happy to hear that. I too have been seeing alot of positive changes with Matt and it makes me so happy to see him working hard and moving forward. all of matt\'s friends are now in treatment so that is also a plus they are actually going to meetings together. Matt is working full time and going to his outpatient program 3 nights a week. I won\'t lie of course i still worry but i am coming along way in easing up my own fears and it seems to be working for us. I still drug test him frequently but I am not as uptight as i was and I too HOPE and PRAY things continue going in the right direction. He is 79 days sober and he is really acting alot more like his old self. Continued sucess to Justin and Matt . Hugs Dee
