progress....and change in the smoke free life.

I've been sticking to the excercise program most of the 7 days per week. Decided to amp it down a bit on weekdays, and go full bore on the weekends as the workday can be pretty stiff heavy work and I don't want to burn out.  Anyways today I did the full 2 laps and on the last lap actually ran the last third of the steep 2 block uphill section. Got to the top and wasn't even totally gassed as I would have been 2 weeks ago. It was glorious, fear left me and I thanked god and laughed out loud......very loud actually and celbrated with a 3rd lap of the 8 city block track.. After 20 years of smoking and less than one month fully quit it's reasuring to see that I can make progress and feel my lungs starting back up.  I came home and had a cup of very hot tea and coughed up some god awful looking stuff, just as my doctor told me I should do if things went well. Lol......hard to believe you could cough up a mouthfull of marbled green/brown sludge and be so completely gratefull for being able to do it.  I guess a few of those cillia are starting to wake up.  Thank you god for this second chance at health and a smoke free life. I couldn't have done it on my own.
