Progress

Sometimes progress comes quickly, and sometimes it comes slowly. I am doing much better. My relationship is strong, but we still have bad days or moments. He is coming from a place of love and forgiveness, and I am trying to come from a place of humility and love.

My biggest obsticles now:

I still have some fear and have to work hard not to let it control me.

I still have selfish moments.

He thinks EVERYTHING that I say is a lie, unless it is what he already had in his head.

He has lied too, a lot, but blames me for his lies and won't acknowledge them for what they are.

I am committed, and I will recover both on my own and in my relationship.

I had issues with lying even before the A. So my H does not believe anything I say. I know I put myself in this situation, but it is still challenging. I have to just keep getting "caught telling the truth", I guess.

Yes. It is a slow, tedious battle.
Does your husband insist that you did more in the affair than you actually did? Because of the lies, which are now over, and his own imagination and inability to tell gossipers to shut up, he keeps reading things into situations and things I said a long time ago that are not factual.
