Progress
I am really encouraged by the change in my blood pressure medication. My blood pressure is good and my pulse rate is under control. (IT had been racing). Now I know it has only been two days but things are looking up. I even seem to be a bit more energetic. I don't know if it's a psychological lift after seeing my PR under 100 again or if it's a physical boost because my heart isn't straining so much. It's probably a bit of both. Whatever the cause, I'll take it. I'm supposed to call in my daily readings to my doc at the end of the week. If they continue to remain low (for me) I know that he'll be pleased. I sure am.I don't look forward to seeing the neurologist though. My symptoms aren't severe and could be caused by other things. The only one that my other docs are fairly sure is caused by neurological issues is my airway partially closing on exhalation. My balance issues and occasional hand tremors could also be neurological in origin..or could be the side effects of the meds I'm on...or could be asthma related. (My doc says that when I cough i get a bit rubber legged). But since I now also occasionally drop things they think it's a good idea to see the neuro doc.(I only had the dropsies a couple of times. Most recently at the grocers... I dropped two glass jars of turkey gravy while waiting to check out...what a mess and just a bit embarassing. I now use a cart no matter how small the order. Floors stay cleaner that way) I guess the above paragraph is an attempt to convince myself that the appointment with the neurologist is really necessary. The hand tremors and dropping things don't happen daily... but do happen often enough that I guess I should get it checked out. What's the worst that can happen? She'll say that there's nothing wrong? That would not be bad. I just don't want to appear to be foolish, panicky or a hypochondriac. What makes things more difficult are days like today when I don't have a respiratory infection and I sit quietly. I am then asymptomatic and feel great. That's when the self doubt and denial creep in. No problem there though. I'm soon going for my daily walk. Reality should rejoin me then. But I am feeling good now. A small thing...but I'll take it.Be well,Tom

I found my self in similar positions many times before. You feel great while just sitting and relaxing. Then, you get up an d realize you really don\'t feel asa good as you thought.
Hopefully the neuro will find nothing exciting. It\'s always good to get things checked out. That being said...I find when my asthma is acting up I too get wobbly and drop things. I drop glasses and wobbly enough to grab something for support. Gets a big laugh from the family every time :)
Sounds like you have a good team of doctors. Congratulations, that\'s a hard thing to find. Hopefully your BP meds will keep working for awhile now.

I\'ve been to a neurologist before who told me my neuro exam was normal. It was all med related and once off those meds (not asthma meds), I had my symptoms resolved. For you, go, see what is said. Aim for a normal neuro exam and if not, you\'ll deal with that then. Good luck Tom.
