Going today to have the right side of my lower back zapped. The term is Rizotomy but most people don't know what that is. Pissed because I am being forced to do this by my doctor. Hoping it works.

Your dr can't 'make' you have a medical treatment...if you don't want this, perhaps seeking a second opinion would be a good idea. Having had back surgery, anything to do with nerves is a risk...even if the hoped for outcome is a reduction in pain level. Good Luck!!! ml
No, mlr0853, he can't make me but.....he said he can't justify giving me pain meds unless he is able to do procedures like this on me. So, he put me in the all too familiar spot of suffer or do as the docs want you to. Thanks for your post
geezzz, how well do you get on with this doctor? Have you tried physical therapy, tends machine, acupuncture? Is he willing to do mri prior to this procedure? You are one Brave Gal! I truly hope all works out for you and your pain level! Best of luck to you!!! ml
mlr0853 Yes he looks at MRI's. He is an excellent doc. I really do appreciate the meds he does give. He has my best interest at heart. I get along great with him....now if he would just slow down a little. Back feels good today. Knee pain is even gone. I have looked into AP, and I am not well enough for PT. Besides everything you do is temporary...even surgery. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Much love to you.
