Problems

Just about everybody knows about my problems.  They're not near as bad as most of yours, so I try not to dwell on them.  Instead, I look for the unusual things that happen to me that affect my life.  Trivial as it seems, losing my lamp had a big impact on me.  I've had to rearrange my lighting which is kinda big for me, probably no big thing to you.  But every day brings challenges and experiences, good and bad,,,little things like having 5 one dollar bills to give to a woman at the laundromat this morning when her $5 bill wouldn't working in the change machine.  I try to contribute to Memories and other groups.  It helps me pass the time.  And, you've probably noticed I keep changing my profile picture to show other sides of me and keep you guessing if that's really me.  I seem to be getting closer to one of my neighbors.  He's lost his job and has a wife and two daughters.  But, he has skills in construction and is working for himself now, working here and there.  He's making just enough money to pay his bills and here I am, responsible only for Foxy and me, worrying about money!  He was in his backyard this afternoon cooking on his grill and we were talking about how to make cheap meals and whether I should retire or try for disability and he thought retirement would be faster and more than I'm getting on unemployment.  There's about $300 difference.  He knows about my hand and has seen me limping around.  You know what he did this afternoon?  This man with a family to feed, gave me a drumstick and a sausage right off his grill!  It was hard to keep from crying.  But, this is the same guy that when I was going through financial troubles a few years ago, brought me Thanksgiving dinner.  How can I lose with people like him around me?
