Prison: Pat down, warnings, etc.
Well, God has sent me some places since He called me into ministerial Christian counseling. I've ridden in ambulances, went to hospitals, been to court but I think today was the topper....maximum security prison for a contact visit. You can get a contact visit approved or a regular visit. Contact you can actually give the person a hug while being watched as you sit on opposite sides of a table with a timer so you don't go over the limit.
OK, well, I had my Minister's Badge clipped on and was made to remove it as it has metal (the clip) on it. No car keys, no coat, no nothing but your clothes (which cannot have anything portraying illegal issues such as drugs, racism, etc.).
The appointment was sent for noon, didn't even get called back until 12:30! Then I go thru metal detector, wand thingy, and to the side room for pat down and shoe removal. GOODNESS!
I was told that contraband (tobacco, drugs, etc.) can be smuggled in, how I am not sure as I had everything checked except a cavity search!
While there, one lady was thrown out of her visit because I think she was found with a pair of tweezers? BIG FIT and a whole lot of screaming! By this point I am hoping to God I make it out and don't break some rule about anything. I couldn't even take in a list of things to discuss that I needed to remember to mention! What, pray, can one do with paper? Maybe I don't want to know.....no, don't think I do.
Anyway, wonder if this will be my last encounter with the prison system? Every time I think I have a reasonable idea of what God's going to have me doing, He sends me off into left field and I get myself "re-educated". Go in faith and yes, sometimes I go in faith with eyes closed! LOL Best not to see what's coming up, you know?
Must run....got to drink a cup of coffee and unwind.
