Priorities

I am thinking about priorities.  I need to make a "to do" list.  A list for me, for my health, but also for my goals, you know?  Besides losing the weight, I want to go to the Y.  I want a cleaner, more organized house.  I want to paint my spare bedroom and my laundry room, the last two rooms of my house that have not been painted.  We need to order the backsplash tiles for the kitchen.  (back to square one as the red glass was discontinued!)  I don't want to overwhelm myself, but I also want/need to get some focus back.
Yesterday was good.  I am going to call it "binge free day 1."  I ate about 1800 calories, burned 2100.  I did have 2 glasses of white zinfandel and 1 small 2" square piece of brownie.  I got in over 14,000 steps.  Did 1 hr of Wii Walk it Out and got in some much needed cleaning and also cooked.  had a couple of friends over for the game.  David was WONDERFUL!  He washed down my wood floors in kitchen/breakfast room by hand with special cleaner/wood refresher.  he was pleasant, and helpful and did such a nice job.  A true pinch me moment!  This morning, he woke up all nasty!  Oh well.  Paul had a talk with the vice principal.  She is going to get the guidance counselor involved.  Sheesh!  He is failing and the guidance counselor isn't involved unless we call and email?!  I am SO frustrated.  I thought this was a good school district.  I guess it is if your kid doesn't have issues.
Got 2 new fires today already.  ugh!
The cold is back.  Caught a little break yesterday.  Supposed to be wind chills tomorrow night in teens and snow/rain tomorrow AM.
yesterday:  oatmeal with milk, coffee, 99% fat Free Progresso minestrone soup, 1 slice of bread with peanut butter, roast pork, 1 biscuit with butter, small baked potato with butter, baby carrots, 2 glasses white zinfandel, 2" square of brownie.
Today:  oatmeal, milk, coffee, apple, carrots, 1 slice bread, 2 slices roast pork with 2 tbls gravy.  dinner is steak and who knows what else.

Just got a call from a friend of David\'s, a girl. David is in 8th grade. We are Catholic and this is his last year of religious education and he received Confirmation this year, which is a big deal. He was at a retreat at church on Saturday and apparently told this girl he wanted to kill himself and was going around to the other kids and said if he died, would anyone care?

Shit! I am so tired of this. I really want to get him into Rockford. I keep saying this. This kid needs help and I am not qualified to help him.

I\'m constantly thinking about priorities as well. There are never enough hours in the day. Not enough of me to go around. I\'m doing better, though. (Not there yet, but doing better.) I constantly have a little conversation in my head saying, \"who\'s gonna know if you don\'t get this done today/tonight? Who\'s gonna care?\"

Oh by the way- congrats on the Binge Free Day!

Sorry about your son\'s comments. I bet it both frightens and angers you at the same time. You want to take it seriously, then again, you\'ve heard it all before.

Hang tough!

I know you think David is going for shock effect but still how can part of you think he just might some day.... How you stay sane is a mystery to me! My heart breaks for you, hubby and David!
I understand the priorities list but then I am a list person! Put your health at the top!

Dr called. I am going to call the Rockford people tomorrow and get his case escalated. Say a prayer it goes through and quickly. Dr Murch had all the paperwork filled out and sent in a long time ago, but we put things on hold due to the counselor coming to the house. So now that that is out the window apparently, we can beg to have David\'s case escalated.

Your journey sounds like a very difficult one and I\'m so sorry you must walk this way. I know you are doing the best you can. Please take some moments to care for yourself.
I\'m reading a book entitled, \"Don\'t Let Your Children Kill You\".
The message is Take Care of You in anyway you can. I\'m in your corner.

Lists are good keeps you organized on what has to be done. Hopefully that will take away some of the stress, now all you have to do is look at the list.
Good for you binge free day
