Pretty wiped out
Don't even know why I'm writing here... I've texted a friend and texted my son and got sweet replies... but still feel like crying. Mother is sitting in her wheelchair, just with head drooping, pretty much sleeping. (Odd thing, tho', when i used Siri on my iPhone to verbally send a text, she heard me and asked if I was talking to her - and I was in the other room!!! don't get what she hears and doesn't hear.)
Missed giving her her pain med this afternoon - a beauty appt interfered - but she's OK when sitting and maybe will help the constipation. She did have a BM this afternoon... and I had to help clean her. THIS is what I hoped would never come to me, never be my job., cleaning her butt. Oh god, this is really bad. And she first says she needs to go, then sits in the wheelchair, dreading to get up, moaning how much she hates it, delaying, delaying... and me saying, Mother, it won't get any easier. You need to stand up so you can get on the toilet. Mother, it won't get any easier. You can't pee sitting here in the wheelchair, etc., etc. Five minutes goes by (or so it seems) and she's just sitting there dreading the inevitable. Don't know what to do. Hate it when I get cross and snippy with her... she's the one with the problem, really, not me. But I can't help it!
Every day - lately - has been worse and worse.

My Mom can see and hear things selectively too! Amazing is it not?
Pain meds are double edged swords. They are ALL constipating! Maybe she would benefit from a stool softener or some milk of magnesia.
I toilet Mom after she eats. No arguments!
The Miralax ( HEB generic Clearlax) helped tonight... but that just meant that I had to help clean her... argh!!!! But I survived...and if I can remember, have the rubber gloves to make it all more tolerable. Now I\'m one (or two?) sheets to the wind... but she\'s safely in bed, thank goodness, and I\'m upstairs with my darling lover boy and my doggie. Really exhausted... but plan to call Lupe, the aid, maybe tomorrow, to set up a schedule. Wowsa... what a trip!!!
Wellwe are all on the same trip one way or another! InSoo enjoy your company on this journey!
