Pres Day 2/17/2014
7:40am
So I twisted my back shoveling the other day....ouch! It's basically an old lifting injury that likes to come back every 6 months or so. Just add it to the pain pile! Actually my chronic pain is a low (3) but I'm listing it as a (2). Maybe the back pain is overriding the normal pain. Oh well....it is what it is.
More snow for tonight....ah! Maybe I'll wear a lifting belt to shovel tomorrow. Speaking of lifting I'm going to lift today. I'll do pullups and shoulders to work around the back pain. I'm always working around some injury or another. I actually feel better working out less. I use to go 7 days a week and then wonder why I was always tired! DUH! I'm not 20 anymore that's obvious :) At 20 I would work out 7 days a week, work, go to school, play in a band on the weekends, drink almost every night then do it all again! Guess it's all catching up now but would I change any of it.....hell no :)
So this new project appears to be a pain in the arse. I need to dig into it today. Maybe once I have everything I need I'll feel better but of course I have to count on other people to get that info and nobody seems to give two shits so....whatever.
Anyway, better get to it.....more later :)
1:55pm
So this proejct looks like its going to be a nightmare...blah. Oh well! I ramped the pain meter back to (3) as its acting up a bit but not terrible.
I was able to lift while working around my goofy back. It's getting better but I hope not to aggrevate it shoveling tomorrow but it needs to be done. I have a sheet of ice where the snow is melting and freezing on the steps and driveway. I threw salt so hopefully no one falls on their arse. I'm not sure why we even have weather people....
I'm going to read some more of these goofy project requirements then call it a day. This thing is giving me a headache and I haven't even started yet!
I called my friends mom in the hospital but she was getting ready for some therapy and she wasn't feeling too well. Hopefully she will be home next week but it's hard to say right now. Poor thing.
Well back to it I guess....
