Preparing a Persian meal.

Good Day Community,
Today my wife and I are preparing a Persian meal for 2 friends.  The meal will be served tomorrow evening.  We are having a chicken pomegranate Koresh (Stew-like) and a lamb kebab.  We enjoy preparing "special" meals together.  We have infused vodka with saffron so we can have an unusual drink.  I lived in Iran for 7 years and have a great respect for the Iranian (Persian culture), the people and Persian food.  I do not like the present government.  It is no better or worse than the Shah's.  Cooking, reading, writing, and being with friends helps coping with PD.
Tonight we are going to a local steakhouse.   I will have grilled salmon.  Tonight and tomorrow night I will tell our friends about my PD diagnosis.
I have actually found it to be somewhat liberating to tell my friends about my condition.  They are so very supportive and it helps.  I have always been a very private person.   This "coming out" is a big change for me.  A friend of mine told me yesterday that he will be my "optimist".   How neat!
