Pregnancy Update

I am 18 weeks 2 days pregnant. I never thought I'd make it this far, but here I am. I'm finally getting to the point that when I feel weird twinges or cramps, I don't immediately panic and think something is wrong. I'm starting to just think maybe that's what pregnancy feels like.
Anxiety is getting much better. It still hits me at weird times, out of the blue. It's more physical than mental, I think. I'm thinking that at this point, it is more about hormones being out of whack, which makes my anxiety meds not work like they used to. I try to just breathe through it and let it pass.
We had an ultrasound last Friday. Baby is still SUPER wiggly. AND we found out...it's a GIRL!! I've been certain of it since 2 days before I found I was even pregnant. It's kind of cool to have it confirmed. I'm pretty sure she's gonna be a dancer because every single ultrasound I've had since she started moving, she is spinning and kicking and wiggling up a storm. It is so surreal that she is moving that much and I still can't feel a thing!
I did feel her a couple of weeks ago, but haven't since. Although today and yesterday I'm starting to think I'm feeling her more. It's a strange feeling - I keep having these weird feelings in my stomach that I almost don't notice and then I think, was that her? Darn, why wasn't I paying attention?!
Maybe there really is a baby in there and I'm not just getting fat! :)
I ALWAYS thought I'd have a boy first and then a girl. But I've been certain this was a girl from the beginning. I'm a spiritual person and I believe that family ties exist outside of this physical world...in a spiritual, eternal way. I believe our babies are ALWAYS our babies, from the moment they are created. Whether we ever get to meet them in this life or not...they are ours. Forever.
A few days before my positive, when I was first beginning to suspect, I had this moment. I was walking down the hallway at work and I felt this voice...it's hard to describe. It wasn't heard audibly, with my ears. It was like it just filled my whole being. A girl said, with such love and excitement, "It's time." And I knew. When I saw the positive test a few days later, it was more of a feeling of confirming what I already knew.
We've not been able to come up with a single boy name. Other than my husband really wanted to name a boy Sparta...so that when we introduced him we could say "This. Is. Sparta!" I vetoed that, even though it is hilarious.
I had been tossing around Emma in my head. When I asked my husband what names he was thinking of, he said Ellie. It immediately felt perfect. So, that was the extent of our debating names.
Little Ellie Joan Gleed will be joining our family in January. I can't wait to meet her. I already get teary thinking about that moment.
Praying for all of you!

Oh dallyjoe! This is such a beautiful update :) I love the name Ellie. And I love what motherly intuition you have had all along.
When I was pregnant with my daughter...it was around the exact same time---18 weeks...where I was laying on the couch and thought was that a gas bubble? It took a while to recognize those sensations as baby :)
And like you and your husband, we came up with our daughter\'s name so easily. We usually agonize over decisions. But he walked in with a list (around 20 weeks) of several girl names to get a start---from the Internet. And we both fell in love with Brooke immediately :) And we gave her my first name as her middle name.
I am so thrilled for you to have things going so well. It\'s ok that there is still anxiety and I love that the pregnancy is feeling more and more real for you. I get teary just reading about you getting teary at the thought of you meeting your little girl in January :)
So thrilled for you.
