Preceding a Vice with a Virtue

Heading to a buddy's house to watch a football game.  There will be a lot of beer consumed.  Figure, if I'm going to indulge in a vice, let's precede it with a virtue, riding 15 miles on a bike to get there, drinking a lot of water, to detox the body before the tox.  Of course, I'll shower once I'm there, to be fresh and "un-ripe" for fellas watching the game.  I don't drink much anymore, but sometimes, maybe once a month, socially, I think it's OK to indulge.  Football and beer.  They seem married to each other.
Then will follow the 15 mile bike-ride to get back home.  There's no RUI (riding a bike under the influence) offense, but gotta be careful of drivers out there.  Actor Gene Hackman just got whacked by a pickup truck while riding his bike down in the Keys.  Hope he's OK.
