Preached another funeral

I preached my friends funeral today.  Her name was Pat.  She was 74.  She was survived by her husband ,her daughter, a sister and one brother. She had fought cancer since 2001 and when it came back this time, it was just too much to overcome.  I spent may nights with her at the Hospitall in ICU and Emergency Room.  I visited her at the hospital 2 or 3 times a week when she was in a regular toom and I visited her numerous times during her last days at the Nursing Home.  We would talk about her family, death, Heaven, Angels and Jesus.  She was a very classy lady.  I was very honored to get to preach her funeral and to be able to hopefully be a blessing to her family.   When Pat found out the cancer was back, we sat and talked and I told her I would be with her from start to finish, and I was blessed to be able to do that.  She wasn't a member of my church but, that doesn't matter to me.  Wherever I am needed and whoever needs me, I will be there for them.  This is what I am "called" to do.
