Prayers in Progress

The Nap Fairy didn't make it into the Surname Estate yesterday, but the relief from the incoming chaos did continue, thank the Cosmos. Hubs and I benefitted from a restful day yesterday, despite the absence of naps. Naps are not the only restful activity in Nature, even here on the anti-nature land of La de dah Lane.

The grandkids arrived with the reigning parental units shortly after I finally managed to doze off last night. The sounds of Life in the house were sincerely welcome, despite the sleep disruption. I am not doing well on tracking timelines --and feeling like timelines are not terribly important just now-- but I am certain it has only been a few days since I spent the night with GD. She was not crawling then but is crawling like a pup now. You go girl!!! Keep us reminded that life goes on. It's your 9 month old job. Do that do.

Today begins the formal dress up portion of the show. I am doing even worse with proper names than I am with timelines, so I do not care to attempt recording the formal names for the stages of the proceedings. Not important. Mister Surname ochestrated the events before his passing. He is still in charge of the funeral show. The funeral directors, et al, all know him by name. Go, bossman. I only need to be dressed and ready to jump for the bells and whistles. Business as usual.

I am kind of proud of all the newly functional space in the house. Hope it meets the approval of the family members I do not know well enough to anticipate. The reigning parental units on my personal branch of the family tree were thrilled to find a baby diaper changing table and floor space enough for their baby to crawl safely in. Fragile high dollar nick knacks and paper flowers are not of much value in child care. Even less so for the high dollar pharmecueticals and geriatric prosthetics all over the house.

I still have my rosary wrapped around my wrist as a reminder to listen for that quiet voice while I keep the prayers ongoing. Letting the healing mysteries lead the dance. Letting the cosmos select the song.
