Prayer Request
My thoughts of SI are getting worse. I see my therapist tomorrow. I want to be honest with her, but I don't want her to think I need to be hospitalized. I know I'm better off at home, cuz in a hospital I don't have all my coping strategies. (ipod, knitting, cross-stitch, etc) I'm not suicidal, only wanting to cut or hurt myself in some way to stop the pain! i"ve started hitting myself in the head. I wish I could knock myself out, but it didn't work.
Please pray for wisdom for me and my therapist! And that we can get to what's behind these urges so it'll go away!!
PS - does anybody read my journal entries? Just curious. If you'd like just leave a 'read it' comment.

hi, i just met you today on sa group. I will be praying for you. We can get through this together.
Beth, I\'m praying for you contually, as I know you are for me. I also love crocheting as therapy and have found it works marvelously. Please try to work with the Dr and want they say you need. I don\'t know why you can\'t take your craft, iPod and such with you, so talk to her about that if you need to stay in the hospital for a bit. Maybe they can better help you there. In the early 80s, I found that a stay in the hospital helped me with a hard time I was having with anxiety and depression. Be well and know that God is with you always, working everything for the good because you are His child. Trust in God and keep reading your Psalms. I find them calming. I also recommend a book called Letting Go of the Person You Used To Be. Your sister in Christ, Wanda
I\'m feeling a lot better today than I was yesterday. We had a good appointment, and I told her about all the crazy things I\'ve been thinking about doing. And the crazy things I did do, like mutilate a grapefruit! Anyway, one day at a time, right? Anyway, there was no mention of hospitals, thank God. I\'m not sure yet exactly what alarms my therapist and what doesn\'t. But, I will get through this!!! Someday it will pass.
Love you, Beth. I still find it amazing how difficult it can be to simply speak and tell the truth. I\'m glad that you felt you could talk with your therapist. I\'ve knocked the \"one day at a time\" out of my head and replaced with \"just for THIS moment\".
