PRAISE GOD FOR DIRTY LAUNDRY!
I will tell you what the Holy Spirit taught me about dirty dishes & laundry when I complained...... Dave & I were wed 10 yrs before our 1st child (we've been married 30 come this Dec 09). We never thought we'd have 1 let alone 4! Anyway, as moms get, I was tired of the endless dirty clothes, dishes, house, you name it. Throwing in another load of dirty clothes & COMPLAINING that it never ended, I was gently & lovingly rebuked by my heavenly Father....."You do not have dirty laundry." This got my attention. "What you have is PROOF that you have children, a family to love and who loves you back. Dirty dishes are PROOF you have food to eat and a family to cook for and share your blessings with." Remember that and that this too is a "ministry" of love which each born again Christian is called to do. Further, do ALL that you do as UNTO THE LORD. And yes, that includes scrubbing the toilet!Sometimes, when I'm having the grumps, I think of the dirty dishes as the Lord's and He just finished eating (this is true, in a way, as we are each created in His image). I do the same with the laundry, toilet, house, etc. You see, I can praise God for my dirty house. It is proof He has provided a safe warm shelter, a home to rest in, a place for my family, and the privilege to be a mom & wife. I am certainly blessed!

Amen! It is true our complicated life is because we are truly blessed. Sometimes we need to simplify but sometimes it\'s just the over flow of all those blessings. But about cleaning toilets....well that\'s why I had 5 kids, they all needed to learn right?
Nan
Learn???? I had 3 boys 1 girl and now a grandson. I did well with the \"aim\" as I made them ALL SIT REGARDLESS but then came puberty. Ah, well........I think maybe that\'s why God made trees? ROFLOL
I actually forwarded this to a friend! Hope you don\'t mind. It made my day and made me smile. I have FM/CFS. I pick up but save the real cleaning for a day of energy. I always feel bad that it doesn\'t look like my friends house that is always in order. This helps me see it in a whole new light. It is not me being lazy or complaining how I feel bad. It is proof that my kids are understanding and want to remind me of their presents. Thanks for writing that. I love it.
GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT AND FEEL FREE TO PASS IT ON! We all need reminded that those magazine pictures are just that, fake to sell some cleaning or decorating product. Lord knows I used to freak over PBJ on the walls and then I learned it was NOT PBJ on the walls but just a snack waiting to be served later. ROFLOL
