Post-Trigger, Pre-Retrieval
Last night at 4:15 a.m. we did the trigger shot. Actually, we did it at 4:13 -- so I hope this doesn't mess anything up. James was concerned because it went in too easily. He later decided that he's just comparing it to the progesterone in oil shots, that you have to force into the muscle tissue. So anything water-based is a walk in the park. I woke up with a sore butt this morning, and a sorer right ovary. I feel like I've already had the surgery. But no, I'm just full. And not of food. Tomorrow the retrieval is at 4:15 p.m., which makes for an entire day without eating. Actually I can eat up to 9:15 a.m. Tonight I made spaghetti and have saved some for my breakfast tomorrow. I'm going to load up as much as I can and then try to sleep most of the morning. Surgery schmurgery. I'm just concerned about not eating. It's just not like me. I hope everyone is doing well and nobody got tossed around too much by this weekend's storms. Here in Alexandria we're enjoying 100-degree days, something I thought I had left in my fond, far-away memories of Texas. I hope not to cook the eggs before we get to the clinic tomorrow...
