Post surgery update

Hello everyone. I have been a stranger on here, but now I am back! I am 12 days post op. I had laproscopic roux en y  and gallbladder removal surgery on January 21st and everything went smoothly with the surgery. It ran longer than expected and I ended up being under for 7 hours, but there were no complications. The first night was rought and I got very sick from the anesthesia. Nothing like dry heaving with brand new staples.  Because my surgery ran long they ended up keeping me an extra day just to make sure I was good to go and ended up releasing me Saturday the 23rd in the middle of a snow storm. We made it home fine and for the next day I rested and got some of my strength back. Monday was a different story. Had my first bowel movement since surgery on Monday and I thought everything was fine. Until I started feeling sick again and used the bathroom. It was blood. Red blood. I was shocked and called my nurse to see if I should head to the hospital. She didn't answer so I left a message and we decided to start packing for the hospital. But then my body decided to play another trick and I instead passed out at my kitchen table. Thankfully my husband was right there and caught me before I hit the floor. I used the bathroom twice more and lost more blood and passed out at my bathroom counter while brushing my teeth so I called for an ambulance. I was taken to GWV and then transported to Danville by another ambulance. Long story short, I had an ulcer in my anastomosis and lost half my volume of blood. I had two blood transfusions was pulled off food and put on about 8 different iv meds. I had abother lovely 4 day stay in the hospital to recover and was released Thursday Jan 28th. Thankfully now I am on the upswing and recovering. Will keep everyone updated, hopefully this was just a minor set back! I've lost 20% of my body weight since my journey started!
