Post knee Surgery

Well my Knee Surgery went well. My Knee is still a little swollen, but the Dr. says it will become smaller as time goes on. I should be able to do good on it again soon. I do Physical Therapy myself, by riding my bike at home with a home Trainer for bikes. I also walk 2 miles 3-4x times a week. I am getting strength back, I can tell by the way I bend my knee, which I couldn't do before. I still can't kneel, but I can bend more than before. I started my Enbrel Shot Thursday and he said that should help heal it better too. I feel positive and it helps to have good dr's. There is a reason when you have to wait several Month to get an appt. It is b/c they are good dr's. I almost didn't want to start with Enbrel b/c I was painfree for so long, but I thought about it and then opted to do it for fear of getting a bad flare. I think I did the right thing. I feel good and as long as I can hike I'm happy.

So glad to hear your surgery went well. When I had my foot rebuilt, it was 6 months before the swelling went down. I am very happy because the pain is almost gone. I am walking and cycling on the big toe and bunion, and it is really helping. I think I was just walking wrong for 10 years because the foot was so deformed. What did you have done to your knee? I waited 10 months to see my surgeon, and drove 6 hour round trips every week for check ups, but it was worth it. You made a good decision to get the best doctor.

I had my Knee cleaned out. He told me I should have not waited so long b/c there was alot he had to remove. I am so thankful to him and am looking forward to a normal walk again (without limping).
I also want to thank you for being so nice to always leave a comment on my Journal. I read some back Journal\'s to see how far I have come and you always left an encouraging word for me, and i thank you for that.
I hope you get to feeling better soon too.
