f you truly have faith in God, then when you pray for something you need to pray then let it go and let God take it from there. Some ppl will pray for something, but when they don't see things going THEIR way, they try to make things happen rather than patiently allowing GOD to do things His way. God could have every intention on blessing you w/your request, but that does not mean He is going to do it how YOU think it should be done.
For instance, over the years a man prays for a promotion. A promotional opportunity comes up at work so he think this is it, but he doesn't get it. Now he feels God has let him down. But what he didn't realize is if he stays faithful to GOD'S plan and not his own, there is a better job w/more growth potential at another organization that he is lining up for him. But in order to come across this opportunity, he will need to be in his current position. Also, that company where the man currently works, God knows it will go bankrupt in the next three years, whereas the other company is going to flourish.
Or, a woman prays to God to marry a good man and live happily ever after. So she meets this charming man and think this is the one after a year and a half of dating, but no proposal and she gets frustrated w/God. But after two years of dating this man she finds out that he's been cheating on her for most of those two years. Had he proposed a year ago she would've said yes, but God blocked that from happening b/c He knew this man was not worthy of her. God spared her b/c He would rather she have to endure the break-up of a boyfriend rather than a break-up of a marriage when the truth came out. And if she was married to the cheater, than she would not be available when the man God had chosen for her is ready for marriage and comes into her life.
We have to understand that God does not serve us, we serve God, therefore He is not REQUIRED to do things our way. Faith means to have an "unwavering trust for". If you ask God for something then TRUST that He heard you and that He is going to do what is BEST for you. Cause please know...everything we want for ourselves is not necessarily what is BEST for us. Sometimes the blessing is not found in what God gives us, but in what He doesn't.
