The editorshad put Rose and another actress in a less-than-comfortable pose and photoshopped it(to promote Grindhouse). The cover represented everything that Rose learned to hate about that career and the celebrityindustry.
Its always part and parcel of it, youre expected as a woman, this is what you trade off of, this is how you sell tickets to the movies, this is your part of it, she rattled off, regretting the state of the business.
Your job as a promoter is this:
Theyre not sticking a guy on the cover doing it, unless its like Seth Rogen doing a joke. So as a woman Im expected to sell myself, my body, my image, my sexuality, in order to get your ticket sales up.
Its kind of fucked up. And its like, wait, I wasnt aware that when I signed on to act,
I had to sell myself that much.
McGowan retreated from Hollywood, more or less, taking time to travel and study and appearing in fewer projects (most notably an arc in Nip/Tuck and a supporting role in Conan the Barbarian in 2009).
During this time, she says, she found both her true self and her true passion - which together led to her directorial debut on the short film Dawn.
Its 72 degrees right now. omg! since when is it cold in September! discovered the Myott Meakin Spring field china is pricey. but if i buy it,the animals will break it. really need to think on this. its pretty though.
was going to post things on tricks to keeping things tidy from good housekeeping, but can't find it. one was wipe down every surface after use, not just if you spill something.nothing around the bed, not even night stands and nothing on the table at all. i think their point is the easier it is to clean, the better chance of it getting done. they are also against any and all clutter.

Celebrities do have a conscience. Just seems that more of them ARE willing to sell themselves. Especially the younger generation. They also get into the drugs and drinking, and ya know what? It makes the news and gives publicity and in Hollywood ANY publicity is good. It\'s a shame. There was a time when a married couple didn\'t even sleep in the same bed on a T.V. Remember Lucy and Ricky?? LOL Jeepers. I\'m old, eh??? xo

i think they end up doing drugs, because business people MAKE them do things that they don\'t want to do and the business people force this because its money in their own pocket, they don\'t view the artist as a living being at all. can just imagine what they do to animals and children. says a lot about people how they treat others, especially others who are weaker physically or any other way, to themselves.
if the system would change and ALL JOBS paid the same amount of money and all important things like houses, medical care, cars, education were all free. everything would change and i don\'t think there would be very much crime out there. that is how scandinavia does it. there is still some crime. they still have a death penalty for all the crazies committing crime anyway, but in general its peaceful and content and should be.
people do drugs to get away from bad things and get away from anxiety, that is how it begins..., if nothing is wrong, i don\'t think anyone would do it, why would they?
