Possible cause to the problem

In talking to Miss D, woman at David's karate studio, she feels some of David's current issues are hormone related.  (She is a teacher during the day to special ed kids.)  After talking with her, I am thinking this could be a big part of his problem.  Now in thinking about this the last week or so, the same may also apply to me.  I have thought for the last year or so I was going through peri menopause.  I am going to be 45 in May.  My mom went through menopause very early (but also had ovaries removed due to ovarian cysts.)  But I have been seeing changes in msyelf.  Putting two plus two together, I wonder if these changes and possible peri menopause and hormones are causing a lot of my own problems?  Fatigue, lack of motivation, depression, even the emotions and the binge eating and cravings.  My periods have been coming a little more frequently and don't last as long.  But now this month I am late (only several days at this point but enough to cause concern.)  So I called today to schedule appointment with OB/GYN.  Yes, I could kick myself.  Probably 4 or 5 years since I have been to the OB/GYN and I should know better, as I had HPV and precancerous cells years ago.  Earliest available appointment is June 3!  So I will have to deal with it for now.  But that also explains why eating better and exercise may in fact help me feel better. So I still feel like the orange smiley face, "OK", but changed it to the light green smile face.  I am determined to turn this around.  I feel so fat and out of it.  I have to get back on track.  I have been eating good today and will get in some exercise later.  Yeah me.  Getting enough water is still an issue.  Will have to push myself on that one.  I can't go back.  I have to push myself forward.   Hitting 20 lbs is a big deal to me.  Getting to 146 lbs.  That would be the lowest I have weighed in over 8 years, and in the years I have been trying to lose weight (since I started gaining about 20 years ago), I have never lost 20 at one time.  About 15 lbs was my max.  Then I would stop and gain it all back plus several more.  It has been a roller coaster that now had me up 56 lbs total.  So I am still down 12, which isn't bad considering very little exercise and just horrible eating for a few weeks.  But now I have to refocus.   I have been really focused on work the last week or so, and caught a little bit of a break.  So getting some things done, and that helps take some of the pressure off and helps me feel a little better.  Now, just need to tackle the house.  Going to try to bribe my son with money this weekend to help do some extra chores and help out.
