Positive

It's really difficult to think positive when the temperatures are in the mid to lower teens or even below zero, and you have 4 foot of snow on the ground. I am so longing for sunshine and warmer temperatures so I can get outside and do something, anything. I do manage to get out like every other day and plow my yard and driveway with our ATV, can't get into to much trouble on that so long as I don't go very fast which you can't when plowing snow. I also manage to get out twice a day for my daily trips to the barn to feed the horses. and try to shoot my bow at least once or twice a week when it's not snowing to hard. I guess life is good so long as I am still alive. I have a appointment with my hematologist this week to decide when to start me back on my Coumadin and at what dose and INR levels. However my Family practitioner won't let me back on the Coumadin until my BP comes back into normal ranges. Such a balancing act I am going through right now. I'm also looking forward to Spring break when my Grandson's will be here for 2 weeks. They are such a brightness in my life and I am totally blessed. Oh I almost forgot sometime in early March i have an appointment with a neuro psychologist to test me for any deficits I have due to the brain bleed. This should be inserting as the test is a series of written tests that are over a time frame of 8 hours. Did I mention to you all that when I had my stroke it affected my vision center and I lost my peripheral vision on my right side and my left and right eyesight isn't in sync. Gads I sure hope this isn't an intelligence test because I've already flunked it. Hope you all have a great day and may the Peace of the Lord be with you always

I hope things will go well for you Ferr. I am a big fan of neuropsychologists. My dad had to see one after he had a brain injury due to an accident and seeing that doctor helped not just my dad but the entire family to understand how to deal with some of the changes he dealt with. I hope your doctor will be able,to help you if you\'re having any struggles as a result of the stroke.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering, was your stroke something that happened spontaneously and was then complicated by being on coumadin, or was this somehow tied to taking coumadin?

Joyce, my mom was having some memory and confusion issues over the last couple of years. She took a similar test (presume it\'s similar) with a neuropsychologist after a CT scan/clinical evaluation were normal. The test results would help determine if she had the start of dementia which after all is said and done, she does not have dementia. But anyway, she said she was exhausted after that day of testing. So take care of yourself and get rest. Hope it all goes well.

And I hear you on the weather. I am about to jump out of my skin. It was 1 degree this morning here with the windchill at 20 below. I can\'t get out for a good walk with my pooch which I normally do every day. I think it\'s driving me more nuts than it is him. I really have a good case of cabin fever. So hang in there. Hopefully Spring will spring!
