poor toothless cat

An elderly woman in my apt building had to move into her daughter's place, leaving behind her cat, a toothless cat she spent almost 2000 dollars on; cat had gum infection.  I wish I could help, but I'm only allowed one cat in my tiny apt.

Poor cat has had a rough life, and now stuck in apt after vultures in building were allowed to take stuff out apt before it is vacated; the cat was used to the woman brushing it every day, and now, seems like the poor animal will wind up in a shelter where it probably wont be adopted.

A neighbor has tons of money to spend on his grandkid, but is otherwise a cheapskate, with the mantra of how "a lot of money was spent on that cat", with me having to correct him about how its more important that the cat gets another home.

This same person got written up by the manager for having a dirty apt, with yesterday another tenant helped him clean up his place, though he's too cheap to give her any money for her help.

Poor cat and what's going on is a bad trigger for me, with a reminder that some cats are lucky/unlucky, just like people are.  I adopted a cat that probably could have got a home somewhere else, and my cat doesn't seem to like me, though years ago I was feeding a homeless cat that did seem to like me, but I couldn't adopt it at the time cause I had another cat.

I really should be happy my life, and my own cat's life, are ok; worrying about the toothless cat doesn't help it, or help me feel better.
