Poor Little Baby Boy

Very difficult few days. My grandson Aidan Andrew Has been in the ICU in Childrens hospital  all week. This is after his major heart surgery not quite 4 weeks ago. They still don't know what is wrong. Poor baby has so many tubes and wires hooked up to him that we can't even pick him up or hold him to comfort him. How frustrating!! His little veins are so small, and they have just pricked his little skin everywhere trying to get lines into him. Droped by the hospital again this morning before heading out to work. They ended up puttig a open line in his neck last night. I would take his place is a second, I can't stand to see him like this. They have been keeping him somewhat out of it, but he was up for a few hours yesterday. He is still incubated, so you can see him cry, but no noise comes out. This is just so sad to my heart. The doctors were talking about doing yet another surgery. Still waiting on the 3-d sonagram to come back. His lungs continue to fill with mucus and fliud, and he has picked up a bladder infection. So much for one so small, he just turned 6 months on the 4th. Thank God for the strong Irish blood that runs though his veils. He didn't come from a family of quiters. We are all pushy, hard headed, stubborn, and always want are way. He wants to live, so he will succed, just having to watch him indure so much, breaks my heart. Little to say I was little support. I'm not a cry baby every, but yesterday I just feel apart several times and had to run out of the room. I didn't want any negitive emotions around him. I'm still having a difficult time keeping my eyes dry.
