ponderings

Hypothetical situation....
you have someone who calls themselves your friend, you have known them for lets say 10 years. You have never been ugly to them or had any unkind words towards them. Then one day you have an argument, nothing world shattering, mainly miscommunication but enough apparently. Things seem to be ok, but one day you ask in a round about way for help. Nothing world ending, but you could surely use the help, and if the shoe were on the other foot, despite said "argument" you would help if you could. Now lets say that this person that calls themselves your "friend" basically says "I can help you but I won't til you apologize"....to me that don't seem like being a "friend"...maybe I am wrong. I'm putting this question out to see what others think. I know if the shoe was on my foot and my friend who I had an argument with basically asked for help I would not hold them hostage with an apology..I'm supposed to be a "friend" and look past that, right?
Please let me know what you all think.

If it was a minor argument, I think it should have blown over by now. I think asking for an apology is a bit much but I guess it depend on the nature of the arguement. As for myself, I don\'t think would have asked for the apology.

It all depends on the situation and the people involved. Pride sometimes gets in the way of moving on. If an apology is needed for this person, then I probably would just swallow and choke out one and then let it go; or tell her to f=== off forever, just depends on how much you care for her as a friend.
Let me know what happens. Now I will be curious.
