Politics
There's too much pointing fingers and not enough problem solving the news is full of it. It's causing some people information overload. I kinda sometimes miss not having a cell phone or the internet ah the 80s it was nicer. People were connected differently, not sure if information spread as fast though. Some say it's more profitable for all politicians to create problems than to solve them.

There is money in war so there will always be war. Dollar over peace.
I get tired of politics and people just saying the Oh, X or that awful X -- just fill in the blank with any politician name. I am in a bookclub on zoom for low vision people with my husband and the book we were supposed to read was purely political by the TV guy who just had to pay the bucks to settle a lawsuit where he lied on air, ABC also paid the bucks. And the book is obvious he likes some politicians and hates others. I keep saying no politics at these meetings. I started the book but had to stop when I saw the settlement of the lawsuit, I was so disgusted by the lying media. And my husband finished it and said, the end is bad bashing.
I even bought the book used. I wasn't going to go to the meeting but it is tonight and I decided to go and say I couldn't read all of it, too political and overt bias. And I will say no politics please and not explain my position because that would be a political bashing tirade by me. So keep it brief and if the meeting gets to be bashing certain politicians, I will just leave (zoom).
We read a book about the history of the Secret Service in my other book club and one member called me and said oh, oh, this one is way too political. So we had to say since we do no politics, then we won't discuss the end of the book where the real bashing is going on. I didn't attend that meeting but she told me it went well. I did read that book and it was historical until the end when the author got out her angry bias.
I don't want to hear their bias, just the history and the true facts. Stop lying to us. Off my rant. Sorry!
I’m 55 and I feel that information wasn’t corrupted as much so even though we didn’t have phones and internet we still had a good connection with current events. Possibly more than now because it was a purer form. Now everyone seems to be making shit up and passing it on as fact. This last election has really driven home the reality of how much confusion is being sown. Politicians don’t even have to deny anything, they just saw it’s a lie. And because there’s so much disinformation it works.
Thank you everyone for your input
