poetry I have written: 'Mercy Sent From Above"

                                              Mercy Sent From Above
A storm started to thunder last night, so sleep and rest were not in sight.  My memories were thick and filled my head, so I decided to give up and have a bath instead.
The water was scented with lavender and the candle shone bright.  The music wandered around the room creating a mystical light.
My mind brought a soft familiar dream to me, I need to see my 'Guide'.  I sat down on the sandy shore to wait for him to arrive.  But a golden retriever appeared instead with soft sweet ears hanging around his head.
He wandered around me wagging his tail and began to lick my face.  Before I knew it I was giggling and hugging to keep him in one place.
My new friend started to walk away when I stood to my feet to say "Please tell me your name".  Then He looked at me and wagged his tail, as if to say "I'll be back again to ease your pain".
My Guide appeared on the shore and walked over to me to say "Do you realize the message sent to you, do you understand the way?".  So I pondered on the reflection and I answered him like this, "he came to tell me there is joy in a dog's kiss"
The Guide smiled and said "remember God's love, He knew that you needed comfort so He sent Mercy from above.  I smiled back at my Guide as he began to walk away "what was the dog's name anyway?".  He smiled at me with his eyes and it was then that I knew.            The dog's name was "Mercy"!
