Poem I wrote while in the emergency room

I wrote this untitled poem while I was waiting in the emergency room to clear my head after having a tetanus shot from using unclean implements for self-harm purposes and waiting to talk to a mental health social worker.

Lies upon your lipsBlood upon your skinHating who you areAnd of this cancer what's within
Stressors all around youBringing you to tearsSinking to your kneesAs you are plagued by fears
What is there left to doIt is futile still to tryAnd so you hold up your white flagAnd bleed and scream and cry
Protectors have turned their backsYou're forgotten in the throngSo you wonder what's the pointOf this struggle to push on
No one hears your pleasNo one can save you nowThe lies are piling higherAnd the stench has become quite foul
You're too tired to go onYour heart yearns for its last beatYou've lost the will to go onYou've accepted your defeat
And so you close your eyesAnd pray it all shall passAs your soul disperses silentlyAnd your body turns to ash
