Poem
This is a very sad poem written about you Lindsey. Our Zachery wrote this for us.
Zachery is my 19 year old grandson who lost his Momma Tami before he was even two years old. Tami had a very bad cancer which took her in five months from the time we found out. Tami was truly a daughter to me and so very close to Lindsey, they exchanged gifts as sisters. Whem our sweet Tami knew she was going she asked Lindsey to please look after Zachery the best she could and Lindsey did.
She saw that Zachery had wonderful Chrismas's as a child and every kind of cool school supply etc. My Lindsey always said Zachery was the closest she had to a child as she never had children of her own.
Hey Grandma, the other day, I think it was yesterday though I don't keep track of time very often anymore, I was overwhelmed with creative inspiration, and I wrote a poem, I've been meaning to write something about Lindsey, but my mind kept shutting down when I started thinking, I guess with all the life stresses and depression my mind decided to use it as fuel for creativity, and 'Misery' the poem's title, is what came out of it, my dad's read it, I had to edit it a bit more, grammar isn't my strong suit, anyways, I hope you like it.
Misery A Poem Honoring A lost loved one
Misery
Oh misery
Misery never Forsakes our family
Deaths cruel taking of a loving husband from wife daughter son and grandson still lay warm in the Minds
Now death takes another
Young and beautiful
With a mind broken by stress mental instability and demonic influence from inexperience in biblical knowledge from own and around
Taken was she by accident to herself
Shock splitting of our minds
Splitting of the minds of mother brother sisters nephews and countless friends considered family
Shock and confusing
The ultimate breaking and displacement of our minds
A piece lost forever in us all
A piece that none will recover
A light cheery but shattered soul lost to death
In heaven she rests
She resides with god
With all loved ones of the past
With the animals
Pets of youth and adulthood too countless to name
Walking amongst the ones who have left in joy
The ones left behind wail all thinking of what could’ve been
She is reunited with loved ones
Soul mates reunited separated in youth
Taken in tragedy
Family split by deceit and lies
Intentional or not
Future uncertain
Future bleak
Her death left an empty void in the world for those affected by her death
The void continues growing
Feeding on our suffering
The void needs filling
Filling with good deeds
Kindness to others
Kindness she would express
The loss leaves many empty
Wanting to leave
To join her
But to all that remain
There is a purpose
Of what I cannot say
Every person alive has a purpose
Some reason for existence
Something meant for existence to be continued
To everyone
Including the affected
And other readers
Never attempt to end existence
Whether you believe in religion or not
It doesn't matter if you do or don't
Do not end yourself
Live and help others
Live to help others
To fill the sadness within other's hearts
To fill your own
Live to live
Live not to die
But live to experience what you want
For in the end this life is all that this world offers

Thank you for sharing this very touching poem. I too believe we were all created with a purpose, a life to LIVE, as fully and and completely as possible. And I believe your dear Lindsey did live her life to the best of her ability. (((hugs)))
How is Zachary doing now?
Writing is such a healer and I am grateful for Zachery to be able to share in this way. He is reaching out to all of you who love and adore Lindsey including himself to try to find a reason to remain, whatever it may BE. "Live to live, Live not to die." This says a lot and will mean something different to each of us. Just as Teri said I'm sure Lindsey lived her life to the best of her ability and you loved her to the best of yours.
My dear friend, Linc, said to me, "Nature, Nurture, Choice." Our children come in with their inherent natures in tact, we nurture them to the very best of our ability and then our children get to choose." I rest in this when I take off my boxing gloves and step out of the ring and know that as a mother I was just not that powerful nor could I ever be over the choices that my children make.
Gentle and loving care dearest June, forever mom to Lindsey.
XO Joanie
Thank you both for reading Zachery's poem ,he has such a tender heart and he has also suffered from depression for much of his life.
After losing his Momma at such a young age and now the loss of his precious Lindsey he is terrified once again. My oldest son Glenn Zachery's Dad has had Quadruple heart bypass surgery last year which failed. They have tried again but his veins are to fragile and so he will not live through another surgery. We face the very real possibility of losing him too.
Glenn and I had always thought Lindsey and Zachery ,who is also disabled, would take care of each other. That is another reason that none of us believe that Lindsey meant to go through with it that horrible day. The man that found her said she seemed to be trying to get down ,he won't tell me what he really saw but that she was reaching for her neck nd that the chair broke and her legs were trapped. I fell in my soul that she was screaming for her Momma to save her as I had so many times in the past.
I can't bear that thought but I think it is real. Lindsey was not in her right mind at all that day and she was used to making that threat and me running after her. As you know that day I answered the door to try to get her power fixed. It was like something horrible took control of everything that day.
Lindsey in her right mind knew we needed her, desperately . All of us. I am worried sick about my son who is now bedridden. He has 90 percent blockage that can only be treated with medicine which they keep adjusting but is not helping.
Pray for him and Zachery please.
Zachery has such a bad weight problem near 500 pounds, eating from sadness. He managed ok until after he graduated high school now he just stays in his room and writes and plays games. He also sees a doctor but it like Lindsey is not helping.
Oh June, what a sad, beautiful and powerful poem Zachary wrote to dearest Lindsey. She is loved on earth and in heaven.
Prayers for you, Glenn and Zachary.
Gentle hugs, Linda
Thank you, for your prayers.
Love June, Lindsey'sMommaforever
